Worship Services

Welcome to Saint Thomas Episcopal Church – come experience worship and fellowship with an inclusive Christian community.

Celebrating worship together is an integral part of community life at Saint Thomas. It’s the way we honor God through shared prayer, praise and thanksgiving.

We invite you to explore our weekly worship services:

SUNDAY 8:00 A.M. – Rite I

Worship is quiet and reflective during this Rite I service with Bible readings, sermon or homily, and Holy Communion. It’s a time for spiritual refreshment and focus for the week ahead.

SUNDAY 10:30 A.M. – Rite II

AUGUST 19TH: This Sunday, we’re doing something a little different – join us for our latest installment of Instructed Eucharist or Holy Communion in church speak…ever wonder what people are doing or talking about in church? For example, did you know that magical formula hocus pocus comes from a part of the Latin Mass where the priest lifts up the bread and says, “Hoc est corpus meum,” meaning, “This is my body.”? Since few people understood Latin and since the action was accompanied by the ringing of bells to signify the transformation of bread to body, these words were given magical powers. Learn this and more at our instructed Eucharists.

Mid-morning worship service is typically celebrated with music and hymns, Bible readings, sermon or homily, and Holy Communion. In addition to the more contemporary Rite II liturgy, the adult and children’s choirs add energy and beauty. Meet a full range of parishioners while finding renewal and strength in your relationship with God. Childcare (ages 0-3) and Sunday School (ages 4-12) is offered during this time.

Morning services are followed by fellowship time — “coffee hour”. Light refreshments (beverages and snacks) are served; some sit together for an open-minded Sermon discussion, others mingle or watch their children on the playground. Friendly company and conversation is enjoyed by all.

WEDNESDAY 12:10 P.M. – Holy Eucharist with Healing in the Chapel

Mid-week worship is centered around a healing service and includes Holy Communion. It’s perfect for those needing a quiet lunch hour respite. Check the web calendar for midweek service availability.
