Summer 2005 at St. Thomas!
Sunday school will be on hiatus for the summer, so we've planned a couple of summer programs to help our kids stay involved. Summer workshops will offer a variety of Sunday classes, while Read to Feed will encourage kids to read while teaching them that they can make a difference in the world! It is our hope that these programs will help our children to recognize themselves as crucial members of our church and of the body of Christ.
Summer Workshops
A number of our gifted congregants have agreed to give one-day workshops for our younger members during 10:30 am Sunday services. Rosemary Halas Parker, our Family Ministry Director, will be offering biblical narratives during some of these workshops. A tentative workshop schedule is listed below. Adults are welcome, too!

Read to Feed Summer Reading Program!
Heifer International offers this special program for children in schools and organizations, to teach kids how they can make a difference in the fight against world hunger! Children collect sponsors and then raise money according to the number of books they read. At the end of the program, the money raised will be used to "donate" an animal to a family in need!

Children of all ages are welcome to participate, and adults of all ages are welcome to act as sponsors! To learn more about Read to Feed and Heifer International, please click on the link below.
