After retiring from a long career in aerospace systems hardware equipment design, I started taking software and internet communications design classes to satisfy my creative urges. I had particularly enjoyed web designing for its powerful communications potentials and the creative art form that controls how information is presented. This led to my decision to develop and maintain the web pages for St. Thomas.

I see dual puposes for the web pages:

• To provide an outreach in helping internet visitors become more familiar with St. Thomas

• To provide an inreach by disseminating information that may be interesting and useful to the members and friends of St. Thomas

I feel that it is important to make the pages informative and attractive with a minimum of glitz that can become distracting in use. Since a lot of information is being provided, navigation about the site should be quick and simple. Above all, information should be updated frequently so that it remains current.
