The Rev. Wendy Smith, Ph.D.
Rector
Wendy Smith was born and raised in Illinois. She graduated from Scripps College
in 1968, and went on to Harvard Divinity School, where she received the Master of
Theological Studies degree in 1970. Later, she studied counseling psychology at the
University of Washington, receiving her Ph.D. in 1977.
Wendy applied for Holy Orders in the Diocese of Olympia (western Washington), was ordained deacon in May 1975, and priest in February 1977. She served as Assistant and then Associate Dean of the Chapel at Stanford University from 1974 to 1985. From 1986 to 1990 she served as Interim Pastor at St. Clare's, Pleasanton, St. Jude's, Cupertino and Holy Trinity, Menlo Park. From 1990 to 1996 she was Associate at Christ Church, Los Altos. She currently serves on Diocesan Council.
Wendy is generally in the office from 9:30 am on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and from 1:00 pm on Thursdays.
