The Rev. William M Cowans, Rector Emeritus
The Rev. William M. Cowans came to St. Thomas in 1968 as Associate Rector.
In 1974 he became rector and served as such until his retirement in 1995. During
that time, several remodeling projects were undertaken such as the
Resurrection Chapel, and several community service programs commenced such as
Our Daily Bread. Having served at St. Thomas for 27 years, he was declared Rector
Emeritus by the Vestry upon his retirement, and the Parish hall was renamed Cowans
Hall in his honor. He is currently residing in Reno, Nevada.
