Almighty God, heavenly Father, you have blessed us with the joy and care of children: Give us calm strength and patient wisdom as we bring them up, that we may teach them to love whatever is just and true and good, following the example of Our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen. – Book of Common Prayer, 46. For the Care of Children, p. 829
Sunday school is offered September through June to children ages 3 to 11 and childcare for little ones up to 4 years old in the Education Building, see Campus Map.
Check-in is at 10:15 AM. Parents are required to register children on their first visit. Participating children are signed-in at the beginning of each session to record attendance. Teachers will assist with registration and sign-ins upon arrival. Education Building doors will be locked 10 minutes after service begins. Personal identification is required for access and pick-up.
Safeguarding God’s Children
All teachers, clergy and staff are required to submit to a background check and receive mandatory Safeguarding God’s Children child abuse prevention training, as a part of the Diocesan mandated safe church guidelines.
Each year we plan the curricula for the upcoming season. This year we are focusing on “Seasons of the Spirit” by Woodlake Publishing. To learn more, see Introduction to Seasons of the Spirit.
We experience a break in formative studies with “Summer Sundays” that explore our world, from making chewing gum to painting piggy banks.
Vacation Bible School is a highlight of the summer with hands-on activities to enhance learning. For event schedule, see Parish Calendar.
We will take every opportunity to help your child feel welcome, have fun and be engaged in learning.
