Boy Scouts – Troop 404 Sunnyvale

youth (1 of 51)In early 2013, the Boy Scouts of America were invited to Saint Thomas through the charter of Troop 404 Sunnyvale. We are a youth-led troop that welcomes all boys between 11 and 18 years of age. The Boy Scouts are committed to preparing young men to make ethical and moral choices, teaching lifelong skills, and providing lifelong memories.

There are a variety of ways we serve both the local and surrounding communities. We participate in events like serving up a pancake breakfast to Saint Thomas on “Shrove Sunday”, preparing a meal for homeless men seeking employment through FAITH IN ACTION Silicon Valley Rotating Shelter or helping set-up for “Senior Day” a community service faire providing educational resources and supportive services to area seniors and caregivers.

Recent activities included camping near Sacramento and a tour of the Railroad Museum.

The troop has has grown to over two dozen scouts with a couple of members ready to begin work on Eagle projects.

“Troop 404” meets Sunday evenings at 6:30 P.M. in Cowans Hall.
